Sven-David Harry was born in 1988 in Luzern and currently lives in Zürich (Switzerland).

After graduating successfully with a Bachelor degree majoring in Choral Conducting and Church Organ, he continued with a Master’s degree in Music Education with a major in Orchestral Conducting at Lucerne University of Music and an additional semester in Choral and Orchestral Conducting at ‘Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas akadēmija’ in Riga (Latvia).

By attending many courses, rehearsals, internships and concerts with internationally recognized specialists in the field of choral and orchestral conducting Harry received a deep, enriching insight into the different choral and orchestral genres. While working with his own companies, soloists and concert masters and as an active student of various conducting master classes (symphonic/opera) with globally established professors he developed his personal style of conducting and gained valuable work experience. He demands and encourages musicians in a motivating and positive manner and leads them to huge musical achievements. Sven-David Harry has also focused strongly on singing – in addition to various further education courses on vocal methodology, he completed a “Certificate of Advanced Studies” study program on “Pop Singing” (modern singing) and a “Certificate of Advanced Studies” study program on “Vocal Physiology” at the Bern University of the Arts.

Currently Sven-David Harry is the conductor of the Cantus Zürich and its subsidiary choirs (Gregorianik-Schola, Bachensemble), the consortium musicum Zürich, the Choir of the parish Maria Krönung Witikon as well as the Choir and the Orchestra of the Kantonsschule Frauenfeld. Frequently he develops interesting projects with various choirs and orchestras. He is founder and director of the Music Academy Cultural Exchange Program and regularly organises trips to interesting choral cultures.
