CHOIR CONDUCTING

Choir conducting is my life! While working with choirs I care about effective and goal-oriented work. Voice training is very important to me to improve the choral sound continuously and to teach singers a high quality vocal technique. I always strive to support and promote choirs competently and professionally with my positive, open-minded approach and my pedagogical skills. I have experience in conducting big oratorio choirs, in church music practice as a cantor, in early music, in Gregorian chant, in modern music, in professional musical theater, in amateur and school choirs as well as in collaboration with various foreign choirs and conductors In connection with my choir trips (Music Academy Cultural Exchange Program).

ORCHESTRA CONDUCTING

When an orchestra plays, the world falls silent! It’s very important to me to improve continuously a high quality and richly varied orchestral sound. Due to my wide range of experience in various orchestral styles I focus on the typical sound character of the particular project. My creative, fresh but authentic interpretations of the works testify to a solid analysis of the musical material and intensive studies of important sources from the respective period of time. I studied orchestral conducting at the Lucerne University of Music and the Latvian Academy of Music in Riga. Various master classes complete my professional profile.

MUSIC ACADEMY CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM

The courses of the Music Academy Cultural Exchange Program provide an active introduction to a particular musical culture of a specific region, people or country. Under the expert guidance of a professional conductor, the participants travel together in this the region. In addition to the development of local music literature, you come into contact with local choirs, orchestras and/or ensembles and thus get to know traditional singing and music-making practices in a direct way. You also have the opportunity to have interesting discussions with local experts, take part in cultural activities, discover the cultural life of the respective region and enjoy the local cuisine.

MUSIC EDUCATION

Music education shapes the music culture of tomorrow! In this spirit I teach today’s youth. In addition to music history, instrumentation, composition and music theory, we also focus on practical aspects such as voice training, ear training, choral singing, orchestral and ensemble playing. What could be nicer than teaching people the ability to express themselves musically.
